Leaf Exterminator

The Leaf Exterminator system is engineered to protect your entire gutter line by preventing debris, clogs, and nesting inside the system. These durable drop-in panels use a combination of micro-pore filtration, a ribbed debris-shedding surface, and secure anchoring to both the front and back of the gutter. The result is a highly effective, low-profile guard that keeps water flowing while keeping unwanted material out. Each panel is made from 0.019-gauge recycled aluminum, giving the system the strength to handle Michigan’s harshest weather conditions, year after year.

Evelyn's Leaf Solution

The Leaf Solution system uses surgical-grade stainless steel mesh to block fine debris, pine needles, insects, and small animals while maintaining excellent water flow. Its patented hemmed-mesh design securely bonds the micro-mesh to a durable aluminum frame, ensuring long-term strength and smooth debris shedding. A triple-dip Capillary Diverter captures nearly all incoming rainwater—even during heavy storms—helping prevent overflow. When installed, the guards fasten to both the fascia and the gutter, creating a reinforced, box-like structure that adds stability against snow, ice, and wind.

No, and any company that claims they do is being misleading. Leaf guards significantly reduce how often gutters need to be cleaned, but they do not eliminate maintenance entirely. Fine debris, roof grit, pine needles, and roof valleys can still require occasional attention. Leaf guards are a great investment for reducing maintenance, not removing it completely.

Gutters with leaf guards typically need cleaning or inspection every 1–3 years. While leaf guards greatly reduce debris buildup, occasional maintenance may still be needed depending on tree coverage and roof conditions.

When installed correctly, quality guards allow water to enter properly. Poor installation or cheap products are usually the cause of overshoot issues.

From the first call to book the estimate appointment, to the estimate visit with Eric to the installation with Seth and Cameron, everyone with Ackerman was very professional, kind and knowledgeable. We felt heard as the customer and not pushed or over sold at all. Our salesman, Eric was very easy to talk to explained everything to us very well without pressuring us once.
Once our install team was on site, Seth and Cameron were very polite and professional. Seth took the time to walk me through everything before and after the install. Cameron took extra care and cleaned the gutters once installed and took extra care to clean up the outdoor space. They both made a great and efficient team!
